Pete is the Founder and Managing Partner of Raptor Digital.
Previously, Pete was the Chief Revenue Officer at BitGo, where he led teams that grew the firm’s assets from $100 million to over $65 billion in two years. Prior to BitGo, he built the institutional business at Xapo, the world’s first digital asset custodian, which was later acquired by Coinbase in 2019.
Before moving into crypto, Pete spent over two decades in emerging markets finance. He started his career in 1993 in fixed income sales and trading at Merrill Lynch, where he helped develop the firm’s nascent Emerging Markets (EM) desk. He went on to co-lead EM businesses globally for both UBS and RBS, managing teams across 25+ countries.
Pete’s passion for disruptive markets led him to Bitcoin, where he saw an opportunity to leverage his financial markets and operational expertise to help build the digital asset ecosystem. Having played a key role in scaling two of the industry’s most successful businesses, Pete is now focused on backing the next generation of ambitious founders and leaders in the space.
